Telegael are looking for experienced Storyboard Artists to start with immediate effect on one of our new TV series ‘Berry Bees’. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 1-years experience as a Storyboard Artist on a 2D animation production for TV. Knowledge of Toonboom Storyboard Pro software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create Storyboards for 12 min episodes in Toonboom Storyboard Pro.

• Work from a script, briefing notes and design fun-pack.

• Adhere to production deadlines.

• Take direction well, follow Directors' notes and changes, and make the required revisions.

‘Who says adult spies should have all the crime-fighting fun?

A high-energy, hilarious, spy show featuring three extraordinarily talented 10-year old girls named Bobby, Lola and Juliette.  Seemingly ordinary school-age children who have been selected by the B.I.A. (Bee Intelligence Agency) for those special spy missions in which only child agents can be used. Together the girls are known as the Berry Bees.

Captain Morten Nominated for Two 2018 Emile Awards

The European Animation Awards Association’s shortlist for it’s second-annual Emile Awards has been released, the rewards were launched last year to celebrate the best in European animation.

Captain Morten and the Spider Queen Wins First Award

Captain Morten and The Spider Queen, the recently completed Estonian/Irish/Belgian /Welsh coproduction has picked up the Best Animated Feature award at the Schlingel festival for Children and young people in Chemnitz in Germany. It beat off competition from 124 films from 51 countries, including “The Breadwinner” and “White Fang”. Schlingel is the biggest festival of its kind in Germany. The prize was awarded by the German Institute for Animated Film, DIAF.

This is what they said about it:

A boy whose greatest wish is to be taken on a great sea voyage by his father and who dreams of being captain of his own ship. The best donuts in the world, a treasure holding a ship together, and out-of-control magic cannon to be used only by people who know what they are doing. These are just some of the ingredients for this boundlessly imaginative adventure with excellent animation and lovingly crafted characters. An enchanting and adorable story, told in an original and detailed way.

The film, made in stop motion animation, is in great demand at festivals and is beginning to find theatrical distribution, having recently been released in France. It is the first feature of Estonian director, Kaspar Jancis, who said “It’s great to pick up an award at a festival for children and young people. This is first and foremost a family film and is not just for animation fans.”
