“Frank O’Farrell: The Shadow of Busby” , A Zoogon Production has been nominated for a 2012 IFTA in the Best Sports Category.

The documentary tells the fascinating story of Frank O’Farrell, the only ever Irishman to manage the most famous football club in the world – Manchester United, and details his power struggle with the club’s most famous manager Sir Matt Busby.

Commissioned by RTÉ and made in association with the BAI, the project was Produced by Zoogon’s Sean Doyle and Directed by Paul Golding. Offline edit was undertaken by Alistair Mayes with the online, sound mix and graphics taking place at Telegael and overseen by Enda Boner.

The programme was Executive Produced by Siobhán Ní Ghadhra, Paul Cummins with Paula Fahy was Executive Producer for RTÉ Sport.

The programme aired on the 29th of December on RTÉ One to huge critical acclaim and will be repeated at later in 2012.
